Just two weeks after the U.S. Dept. of Education announced that it would cut off access to federal financial aid for ITT Technical Institute – one of the largest for-profit college chains in the country that has been repeatedly accused of improper conduct – the company has announced that it is closing all of its campuses. This is major news, and will have widespread implications not only for the 40,000 students currently enrolled in ITT, but also the tens of thousands of students who have already graduated.
